Rory Madden, Infinity Band’s keyboard maestro, has unrivalled knowledge and experience with his life-long love of music and a career during which he backed and supported a host of well-known artists.
Rory hails originally from Donaghmore, County Tyrone. He’s a qualified Piano teacher who runs his own piano tuition school, but he’s also an enthusiastic entertainer who’s backed the best on his keyboards.
He worked for five years with The Miracles – one of Ireland’s favourite acts, and also made music with Northern Ireland’s Philomena Begley “The Queen of Country” (remember Blanket on the Ground, and Truck Drivin’ Woman?).
Other artists that Rory has worked with, honing his keyboard, vocal and entertainment skills, include Hal Ketchum, Colin Raye, Martina Mcbride and Derek Ryan.
It was a stint playing at weddings and corporate events with a popular band called The Boogiemen that inspired Rory to start Infinity, with the goal of bringing a professional approach to entertaining at private events and functions.
It didn’t take long for our band to earn its spot as Northern Ireland’s Premier Live 3-piece Wedding and Function Band. Since then, dozens of happy couples have enjoyed their first dance to the tune of Rory and his fellow musicians – guitarist and singer Frank McKernan and drummer Peter Faloon.
We’ve earned a reputation for creating crowd-pleasing occasions with not only the hosts giving us positive feedback, but their guests as well. Many have told us the parties we’ve played were the best they’d ever been to.
The Infinity Band loves to spread the craic across the cities, towns and villages of Northern Ireland. We enjoy our performances enormously – it’s pure pleasure making people happy with music.
